Lucas Melton
Founder and CEO

Melton began his career under the tutelage of Salandra Benton and the Florida Coalition on Black Civic Participation. As a college student, he mobilized thousands of college students to vote , in Tallahassee, FL. The late Congressman John Lewis traveled to Tallahassee to support Lucas’ efforts and participated in an early voting march with a group of over 2,000 students.
A native of Columbus, GA, and a graduate of Florida A&M University, Lucas was born with a purpose to serve his community and does just that. When he is not playing with his four-year-old son, Elijah, he enjoys cooking, a good gym session, and southern hip-hop. Lucas has overseen voter contact programs for major presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional candidates and movements. Lucas later served as the Deputy Director of Programs for the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, gaining valuable experience and wisdom in the movement-building process.
